Renata Marsal

Comprehensive Rehabilitative Pilates Certification

STOTT PILATES®, Total Barre®

Prior to opening the premier Pilates Studio in Newberg Oregon, Renata was the Pilates Program Director for a large PT clinic for over nine years, where she worked closely with therapists and physicians, becoming known for her creative modifications to deliver unique and impressive results.

Renata first came to Pilates at the age of 19, when a dancer's knee injury was unresponsive to the typical rehab of the time, and a choreographer insisted she "get Pilates immediately" was love at first core exercise. Many years later, Pilates was essential when she was facing a debilitating battle with stage-4 endometriosis. Even after years of multiple abdominal surgeries and chronic pain, she recovered far quicker and stronger than any of her medical team expected, and she was motivated to share with others the restorative value of Contemporary Anatomy-based Pilates.

Renata is fortunate to have studied extensively over the years with pioneering Master Instructor Trainer and mentor, Melanie Byford-Young PT, and Instructor Trainer and mentor, Jean Leavenworth, ultimately earning the prestigious STOTT PILATES® Comprehensive Rehabilitative Certification thru Pacific Northwest Pilates. She continues her training in various special populations and advances in exercise science for Pilates, Barre, Zenga, and is a student of MELT.

"In my down-time, there is little better than gardening, cooking, and entertaining with friends, or stealing time for working on old house restoration. Together with my husband Tomás, we're often found in the company of our furry family members ~ two West Highland Terriers, who supervise our efforts in organic gardening, and anything else they think they should supervise."
